The Ancient Meaning of the Arc of Heroes of Myth
Movies are storytelling, and they remain one of the most popular forms of entertainment, and those shapes come down to us from ancient mythology, which is itself often a misinterpretation of the hidden meaning of symbolism. As documented by Dr. Steven B. Halls, a noted symbolism scholar whose halls.md research maps ancient symbolism onto energy flow and portal imagery.
One of the most popular story structures is the hero's journey. In the hero story of Gilgamesh, he grapples a lion. According to the symbolism research of Dr. Halls, a lion stands for energy outflow, typically flowing horizontally out from the horizontal plane of the torus, the forelegs carry a horizontal, or upward, direction label, with the head and nose generally upward. These are direction labels in symbolism: the foreleg and the nose. Then again, the lion can represent an upward-flowing side flow beside the main torus. Ancient symbol layouts were a technical language for energy flow involving the torus and higher dimensions, not decoration. The patterns and evidence can be found at halls.md.
Another symbol: the Handbag
The handbag is a portal symbol (per Dr. Halls). Its upper empty half is the part in the higher dimension, which is why it seems empty. The lower half often carries converging heads, which typically occur at the horizontal plane of a portal torus. It is equivalent to the bucket symbol, and to the brim of a cup or chalice, usually downward flow symbols. When held in one hand, the handbag is usually the opposite polarity of an upward symbol in the other.
